Parsley is a biennial plant widely cultivated as a herb, spice and vegetable since ancient times.

It is used in cooking around the world and is often used as a garnish; served fresh, or as a vegetable in many soups, stews, and casseroles.

Nutritionally Parsley is a source of flavonoid, and antioxidants, folic acid, vitamin K, vitamin C, and vitamin A.

It has a diuretic action and should not be eaten in excess during pregnancy or where kidney inflammation exists.
